Google Search goes through many big and small algorithm changes. You should try to understand how Google algorithms are working, what type of website are going up and what type of websites are going down. Keep an eye on your competitor websites as well.

Use Google Trend Explorer for keyword trend analysis

Use Google Trend Explorer to find out trend of the selected topic in your region. Some keywords that are popular in other regions might be search differently in your region. In a research we found that keyword “Digital Marketing Course” is searched more than “Digital Marketing Training” in our region. Earlier we were optimizing our content with the second option and we were getting fewer search clicks. When we started using the more famous keyword we started getting more search impressions and later more clicks.

Use Google Search Console to look for new keyword opportunities

We write content and publish it and it gets indexed in Google search. We can find out information of our indexed pages in Google Search Console. Google Search Console (a.k.a Google Webmasters) tells information of search queries for which our website is ranking. You can use that information to find out those keywords for which you are getting impression but not getting clicks. You can now optimize these keywords.
